How to make a life in Japan.1) How to migrate into JapanTo reside in Japan, you need to be admitted by a Japanese school or employed by a company in Japan as a certain professional or live together with Japanese or a Permanent Resident as a legal family according to Japanese Immigration Act which provides for “Residence Status” for each activity. All aliens must obtain this residence status at time of entering to Japan. Following steps are required for an alien living overseas to obtain such status;•Receive Certicate of Eligibility•Obtain visa at Japanese Consulate overseas•Submit an application for landing permission•Obtain landing permission after inspection (1)With Certificate of Eligibility received from Japan and other documents, you need to apply for visa for specic status to Japanese Consulate overseas. (Other than visa waiver countries)Apply for visa depending on your purpose of entry as follows;a)Short Stay------------Short Stay Visa (Tourism, business, visiting friends, etc.)b)Work/Long Term----Work Visa (IT technician, interpreter, chef, etc.) Regular Visa (Student, family members, etc.) Designated Visa (Long term resident, person under working holiday program, etc.) Diplomat Visa, Ofcial visac)Medical---------------Medical Stay Visa for alien patients wishing to visit Japan formedical purposes including full medical check-ups and their accompanying person(s)An alien wishing short stay “Temporary Visitor” residence status for tourism, visiting relatives in Japan, etc., applies for visa directly at Japanese Embassy or Consulate overseas.In the case other than “Temporary Visitor” residence status, an alien should apply for
